Wiley Faris – Shop Owner of Landmark Automotive
My love for trucks first began as a kid, growing up on a ranch in southern Colorado. As a young kid watching my Pop Joe, Father & Uncles tend cattle I learned that 2 of the most important tools on the ranch were a strong, honest work ethic, & a reliable 4x4 pickup ... and I wanted a pickup so badly! Ford, Chevy, Dodge? I did not care as long as it was mine, 4x4 and MUDDY!! Naturally, after graduating high school my first job out was in one of the largest independent repair facilities in Colorado at that time, 50 bays! Little did I know that was going to become my life’s passion and career.
I worked my way up from shop maintenance, cleaning cars and shuttling customers to working the service counter, sharpening my customer service and communication skills while becoming well versed in the automotive service and repair industry. I ultimately decided to go back to school, and for 2 years attended Metro State University, only to be distracted daily by what cool truck or car has graced the presents of the garage today??? Or how studying criminal justice would expand my knowledge of TRUCKS?! My passion for automobiles grew from that point and it was then I decided I was going to make a career working with and around cars.
After some time, I found that I not only developed a passion to help people maintain a reliable and safe vehicle, but I wanted to be on the front end of getting people into a safe and reliable vehicle to begin with. From there I began selling trucks & cars for the better part of the next 7 years. In 2008 I found myself gravitating back towards service and that was when I decided my career was going to be in the garage. I have been writing automobile service work and working as a light hand mechanic ever since. I saw a need in this industry to be honest and fully transparent with people regarding the maintenance & repair of their vehicles. I hate the thought of anyone driving a vehicle I wouldn’t want my kids or Wife to drive. I lead my mechanics to focus on honesty and safety so we can deliver a safe, reliable, and affordable product each time we service a vehicle.
After working for Jim Land as his service writer, running the shop while he and his wife worked on their dream in FL, I began to learn the different sides of running a shop. I was beyond blessed to work for Jim and now beyond measure, am blessed to take over as owner of Landmark Automotive. Our specialty will remain customer service. We coach and educate drivers on their vehicle needs. We always try to put the customer's mind at ease, regardless of the situation. We offer a “no-nonsense” 2 year/24,000-mile warranty on most repairs. I continuously work to build a network of shops that fulfills customer needs and provides opportunities for technicians. I strive to provide a great place for all our employees to work, but I also support opportunities for those who desire to run their own shop one day. I take pride in learning from the best and maintaining this business as the best auto service offered in the Conifer Community. Landmark Automotive' s goal remains to provide honest and quality auto repair.
